The Italian Jannik Sinner had to overcome Novak Djokovic, 6-2. 6-7, 6-4 who pushed him to the limit, particularly in the second set. Sinner played a nearly flawless first set, but the Serbian managed to fight back, raising his level in what became a nail-biting, closely contested match. Ultimately, Jannik triumphed over the legendary Djokovic once again and now awaits his opponent, either Carlos Alcaraz or Rafael Nadal.

The match began with Sinner clearly setting the tone. It was an error-filled set for Djokovic, showcasing just how challenging it is to face the current world number one. At certain moments, it seemed like Nole might find some confidence and mount a challenge. However, Sinner kept his grip on the match, playing with a speed and precision that even a seasoned player like Djokovic couldn’t match. The double break Sinner achieved was devastating.

Sinner's rise continues

After a commanding first set, Sinner faced his first break point of the year against Djokovic. The Serbian found a moment to give himself a boost by breaking Sinner’s serve, but once again, he was undone by his own mistakes, putting him back at square one. Sinner allowed no room for Djokovic to take control for more than a game, keeping relentless pressure on him and denying him any breathing space.

Djokovic, unable to truly challenge or trouble Sinner, was outplayed for most of the match. Yet, at least in the second set, Nole managed to keep his rival at bay and push the set to a tie-break. Djokovic refused to give up, raising his level at just the right time as he found himself within reach of evening the score. The Serbian executed a near-perfect tie-break to secure the set and level the match.

Road to Six Kings final

The third set saw a complete shift in the dynamics of the match, with Djokovic finding a resurgence. However, the Serbian had to receive medical attention for a problem in his right shoulder, although this didn’t prevent him from playing his best tennis. Now it was Sinner who began to struggle with his serve and make more unforced errors.
