This luxury tequila house Clase Azul has consistently captured the essence of one of Mexico’s most iconic celebrations, dedicated to remembering those who are no longer with us.

Día de Muertos, celebrated each year on November 2, is a time when Mexican homes are filled with offerings, color, and symbolism.

Families build altars to honor their deceased loved ones, placing items that reflect their lives and tastes, such as food, beverages, and cherished objects. It is an act of love and devotion, allowing a symbolic closeness to those who have passed on. Clase Azul México has immortalized this tradition through its special editions, each dedicated to a different aspect of Día de Muertos.

Starting in 2021 with “Sabores,” followed by “Colores” in 2022 and “Aromas” in 2023, the tequila house has explored the senses to create unique experiences with each bottle. In 2024, the collection reaches its most emotional point with “Música,” an edition that seeks to evoke nostalgia through sensory melodies, beautifully captured in every sip of tequila.

A Tequila that Resonates with the Senses

The Edición Limitada Música has been carefully crafted under the expert guidance of master distiller Viridiana Tinoco.

This añejo tequila has matured for 26 months, with an alcohol content of 40% ABV. The aging process begins in American whiskey barrels, after which the batch is divided in two to continue its maturation in Scotch whiskey barrels from the islands of Skye and Speride. This dual process imparts exceptional complexity to the tequila, creating a harmonious fusion of flavors and aromas that unfold with elegance.

On the nose, this limited edition reveals a symphony of notes including honey, peat smoke, nutmeg, and dried plum, evoking warmth and depth that transport the taster to an intimate, nostalgic space. On the palate, the honey and peat smoke notes intertwine with the smoothness of cinnamon and a subtle hint of chocolate, finishing with a refined, lingering smoky aftertaste.

A Decanter That Is a Work of Art

The presentation of this tequila is equally impressive, with each bottle being a true artisanal masterpiece. The Clase Azul Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Música decanter is meticulously crafted from 40 hand-assembled pieces, using 10 different molds in a process that takes about a week and a half to complete. The result is a vibrant plum-colored bottle, adorned with a design inspired by music, created by artist David Espinosa, also known as “El Dee.”

The most striking feature of this decanter is the accordion-playing catrina that adorns its body. Gilded in 24-karat gold, the figure can move its limbs to “play” the accordion, adding a magical and dynamic touch to the piece.

This unique creation is the result of a collaboration with the renowned artisanal workshop Milagros de Latón, located in Tesistán, Jalisco. Without a doubt, this bottle contains not only tequila but also a piece of Mexican art and culture.

A Luxury with a Price

Clase Azul Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Música stands out not only for its quality and design but also for its exclusivity.

Each bottle is offered at a price of $1,500.00 USD, a figure that reflects both the meticulous craftsmanship of the tequila and the beauty of its container—a piece that will become a treasure for collectors and luxury connoisseurs alike.

This limited edition of Clase Azul is a tribute to the cultural richness of Día de Muertos and the power of art and music to connect with our deepest emotions.

In this symphony of flavors and design, Clase Azul has once again succeeded in capturing the essence of one of Mexico’s most beloved celebrations, immortalizing its spirit in a liquid masterpiece.
