In 1984, Porsche ceased to be represented by an importer in Spain and established its own subsidiary, Porsche España, S.A., marking a new chapter in its relationship with Iberian enthusiasts. To celebrate this milestone, Porsche Ibérica collaborated with Style Porsche and the Sonderwunsch team in Zuffenhausen to create the Cuarenta edition.

“The arrival of Porsche as a subsidiary in Spain and Portugal was a turning point for the brand,” said Tomás Villén, Managing Director of Porsche Ibérica, adding: “We are very proud of the work done in these forty years, and what better way to celebrate than with an exclusive model of the company’s icon, the 911, for our market.”

One of the most striking details of the Cuarenta Edition is the exclusive exterior color Quercusverde, evocative of oak leaves, characteristic of the Iberian landscape. This custom color was developed through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample Plus program. The anniversary logo, inspired by the Quercus oak, is hand-painted on the rear hatch grille.

Luxurious interior

The interior features a luxurious combination of Truffle and Cohiba Brown leather, reflecting the craftsmanship of Iberian saddlery experts. The seats feature tartan textile inserts with a color combination specially developed for this model. An elegant contrasting stitch in Crayon and Truffle Brown tones on the dashboard and upper doors adds exclusivity to the car.

In terms of performance, the Cuarenta Edition is based on the new Carrera GTS Coupé, equipped with a T-Hybrid propulsion system and a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. It delivers 398 kW (541 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h. It includes rear-axle steering and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system as standard.

Porsche Ibérica plans to keep one unit of the Cuarenta Edition as a heritage piece, showcasing the brand’s legacy and its commitment to its Iberian roots. The total number of units available for order has not yet been revealed.
