The Italian luxury furniture firm B&B Italia and the British pioneer of sustainable fashion Stella McCartney join forces once more to present a special edition of the iconic “Camaleonda” sofa.
The second collaboration between B&B Italia and Stella McCartney is born from the British designer’s admiration for Mario Bellini’s work and reaffirms her commitment to innovation and environmental care.
In 2022, their first collaboration brought the “Le Bambole” armchair to life. Now, Bellini’s classic design is transformed with McCartney’s S-Wave monogram, a pattern inspired by natural elements symbolizing the brand’s commitment to sustainability.
The new “Camaleonda” is made almost entirely from sustainable materials, demonstrating B&B Italia’s excellence in R&D. Its upholstery uses OceanSafe naNea yarn, a biodegradable material, Cradle to Cradle Gold certified, and free of harmful substances. Moreover, it offers the same performance as conventional fabrics without releasing microplastics.
Available in soft, muted shades of pink and beige, the sofa radiates a serene and comfortable aesthetic. Its modular design allows creative reconfiguration of arms, backs, and seats, providing the possibility to mix and match colors for a personalized style.
The collaboration debuts at the COLOURLIVING showroom in Hong Kong and will be showcased at Art Basel Miami Beach on December 6th as part of an installation at the grand opening of the B&B Italia Design Studio.
