The jewelry brand Vitaly, known for its bold and genderless designs, outdid itself again at Paris Fashion Week. Its creative director, Zack Vitiello, spoke with Hypebeast about the brand’s latest developments and future.

Founded in 2011, Vitaly has gained recognition for its technological innovation and inspiration from nightclub aesthetics.

Its collections, crafted from 100% recycled stainless steel, have won over more than 375,000 customers with durable, water-resistant, hypoallergenic pieces that come with a lifetime wear-and-tear guarantee

The brand’s focus on self-expression and the subculture related to electronic music earned it the 2023 CAFA Award for Best Accessories Designer of the Year.

From June 18 to 20, Vitaly captivated the City of Light with a minimalist industrial-inspired showroom in the Le Marais district.

There, the upcoming spring-summer 2025 (SS25) collections were showcased, with a special emphasis on the “Opulence” line.

This new offering aims to expand the brand’s network of distributors and provide an intimate look at its latest creations.

The event concluded with a party titled “Vitaly Hyperlink: Paris Fashion Week.” Featuring performances by Chippy Nonstop, Karim Olen Ash, Broodoo Ramses, and Medussar, Vitaly reaffirmed its commitment to bold and sustainable fashion, marking its influence on the global industry landscape.

Zack Vitiello: A Source of Inspiration

Zack Vitiello, the Creative Director, describes the two collections presented in the showroom:

  • “Purify”: This collection is a play on forms and design references inspired by early millennium electronic devices, music players, and gaming systems. Think of your old Discman, Gameboy, or brightly colored iMac. It’s a nostalgic collection filled with nods to the objects that shaped our understanding of technology.

  • “Opulence”: Inspired by the extravagance of 1980s nightlife.

Imagine Studio 54: glamour, artists, excess, Bianca Jagger on a white horse. All channeled through Vitaly’s lens.

We also wondered how New York’s high society coexisted with the growing punk subculture, two completely separate worlds. What if punks had infiltrated Studio 54? The result is a recontextualization of the ostentatious jewelry of the era through a punk lens, creating a unique and identifiable Vitaly aesthetic.
