Alcaraz, the reigning champion, overcame Frenchman Ugo Humbert in a hard-fought four-set encounter (6-3, 6-4, 1-6, and 7-5).

The Spaniard highlighted the importance of learning from his defeat at Queen’s to another left-hander and stated that he focused on playing each point with intensity, regardless of his position on the court.

Sinner, the world number 11, dispatched American Ben Shelton in a solid three-set match (6-2, 6-4, and 7-6). The Italian, who had already reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals on two previous occasions, was pleased to close out the match in three sets and praised the extraordinary atmosphere on the court.

Fate has drawn an intriguing path, as Sinner and Alcaraz could potentially face each other in an all-Italian semifinal.

However, before that possible showdown, both players will need to overcome their next challenges: Alcaraz will take on American Tommy Paul, while Sinner will face Russian Daniil Medvedev.

The presence of two Italians in the Wimbledon quarterfinals marks a historic milestone for “azzurro” tennis.

Sinner will look to continue his advance and reach his first Grand Slam final, while Alcaraz will aim to defend his crown and establish himself as one of the circuit’s top dominators.
