LVMH once again highlights creativity in its collaboration with Paris 2024, with garments that blend exceptional craftsmanship and creative circularity.

The new outfits and medal trays join the gold, silver and bronze medals designed by Maison Chaumet, the Team France uniforms for the Opening Ceremonies created by Berluti, and the medal and torch trunks designed and manufactured by Louis Vuitton.

The LVMH Group is proud to support Paris 2024 as a creative partner, contributing excellence, elegance and unique global resonance.

Inspiration from the 1924 Games with a Modern Twist

Paris, the fashion capital of the world, once again hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games, 100 years after the City of Lights last hosted the event.

To connect with this legacy, LVMH has designed outfits that pay homage to the silhouettes of the 1920s, marked by the birth of sportswear, the affirmation of feminism and the emergence of unisex styles.

The 515 medal bearers selected by Paris 2024, young members of national sports federations in France, will wear clothing that celebrates France’s history and its cultural and social heritage. The garments stand out for their fluidity and freedom of movement.

Each unisex medal bearer’s outfit will consist of a polo shirt, wide-leg pants, and a traditional gavroche cap. Volunteers will also receive Fenty Beauty products, along with makeup tips if they wish.

LVMH’s Commitment to Sustainability

The 600 outfits align with the LVMH Group’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive luxury:

  • Creative circularity, with 100% eco-designed materials, sourced from LVMH’s closed-loop textile recycling ecosystem.

The polo shirts and gavroche caps are made from recycled jersey fabric, using scraps from different LVMH houses that have been reused by the French startup Weturn, a certified B Corp company.

The company creates new uses for unsold inventories from the textile industry, transforming fabrics into yarn and then into new fabrics.

The heavy jersey fabric created through this process was cut and assembled in the Vosges region of France, in a workshop certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

  • Pants are made from a blend of recycled polyester and wool.

  • Mostly “Made in France”: The polo shirts are made in the Vosges region by the family company Duval, a long-standing partner of LVMH.

The pants have been produced by La Fabrique NOMADE, a non-profit organization with which the Group has collaborated since 2019, which supports the professional integration of refugee artisans in France, helping them to use the skills of their craft practiced in their country of origin and to adapt to the needs of the French market.

The gavroche caps were made in Italy.

Louis Vuitton Medal Trays

Evoking Louis Vuitton’s trunk-making heritage, the unique medal trays were crafted by expert Louis Vuitton artisans at the Beaulieu-sur-Layon workshop in the Maine-et-Loire region, specializing in the manufacture of leather goods.

The trays have an exterior covered with the Maison’s historic Damier canvas, created in 1888, and the interior is lined with matt black leather, referencing the interiors of Louis Vuitton’s medal and torch trunks.

Designed and manufactured to be as lightweight as possible, the Louis Vuitton medal trays can hold from two to six medals.

They will carry the medals designed by jeweler Chaumet, adding an extra touch of French savoir-faire to this exceptional moment that rewards a lifetime of dedication for each athlete on the podium.

The trays join the prestigious collection of personalized cases created especially for Paris 2024.

These exceptional objects perfectly exemplify LVMH’s mission, “the Art of Creating Dreams”, and its role as “the Artisan of All Victories” for the Paris 2024 Games.
