This limited-edition masterpiece (only 80 will be produced) represents the pinnacle of a decade-long collaboration. The story began in 2010 with the RM 027 Tourbillon, a groundbreaking watch that challenged the very notion of weight and performance in luxury timepieces. Since then, Nadal and Richard Mille have pushed each other further, continuously refining their creations.

The RM 27-05 stands as the culmination of this incredible journey. Nadal himself recalls the early days with a touch of amusement: “I vividly remember the day Richard contacted me in 2008. It seemed impossible – I never wore anything on my wrist. Then, in 2010, he presented me with the RM 027 prototype – surprisingly light and boasting spectacular lines.”

A perfect piece

But the RM 27-05 isn’t just about featherweight bragging rights. Underneath its sleek exterior lies a powerhouse. The watch houses the ultra-thin RMUP-01 caliber, boasting an impressive 55-hour power reserve and a flying tourbillon that oscillates at a steady 3 Hz. This movement, a marvel of miniaturization itself, measures a mere 3.75mm thick and weighs a featherweight 3.79 grams. Crafted from PVD-treated titanium and Carbon TPT, it delivers exceptional performance without adding unnecessary bulk.

One of the most striking features is the “flying” barrel, a technical marvel that eliminates the need for a bridge, further reducing weight while maintaining structural integrity.

The case itself is a testament to Richard Mille’s dedication to cutting-edge materials. Crafted from Carbon TPT B.4, a sophisticated composite material, it benefits from a unique 70-degree orientation between layers, resulting in exceptional strength and rigidity. This meticulous construction ensures the RM 27-05 can withstand even the most demanding conditions, much like its namesake.
