This campaign transcends earthly boundaries. Forget chasing sunrises on mere beaches – KENZO chases sunrises across the galaxy.

Exotic places

Shot amidst the cool tones of the Canary Islands, the campaign unveils a collection infused with subtle sci-fi metaphors woven seamlessly into both men’s and women’s pieces.

The magic lies in the perfect balance between Nigo’s design vision and the captivating dance between interstellar and earthly motifs.

The campaign showcases a range of essential pre-season pieces: workwear staples with a twist, cargo pants for effortless style, rhinestone logo tees with a touch of sparkle, flowy dresses, and cozy embroidered hoodies. Standouts include the innovative carrot-cut workwear pieces, available in denim and a unique textile reminiscent of KENZO’s classic Japanese hakeshi fireproof jacket.

Don’t miss the stunning deep-blue plissé soleil dress, adding a touch of elegance to the collection. Plus, eagle-eyed fans will spot a hidden gem – a briefcase graphic tee subtly referencing the legendary Japanese electronic band YMO.

A legacy of fusion

KENZO is a renowned French luxury fashion house founded in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. The brand is known for its bold and vibrant designs that blend Japanese aesthetics with Western silhouettes.

After studying fashion design in Tokyo, Takada arrived in Paris in 1964 with dreams of becoming a successful designer. His first boutique, “Jungle Jap”, opened in 1970 and showcased his unique vision. The name, considered offensive today, was later changed to simply KENZO after a fashion show in New York.

Signature style

KENZO’s style is a fusion of Eastern and Western influences. Takada incorporated elements like kimono shapes and vibrant Japanese prints into contemporary Parisian fashion. The brand is known for its love of color, bold patterns, and playful designs.

KENZO has evolved throughout the years, with different creative directors at the helm. However, the core values of cultural fusion and bold aesthetics remain. In 1999, the brand was acquired by luxury giant LVMH, allowing it to expand its reach and influence.
