In its ongoing celebration of creativity, Galerie 19M is preparing to unveil an extraordinary masterpiece—a monumental curtain measuring 15 by 8 meters, meticulously crafted by its resident Maisons d’art. This stunning creation will adorn the observation deck that separates the Nave from the central square of the Grand Palais, which is set to reopen after extensive renovations supported by Chanel.

Art of Perfection

Alongside this grand unveiling, the Galerie du 19M will host an interactive experience: Ornementa, a collaborative workshop where visitors aged seven and up can contribute to the creation of a second monumental curtain. This participatory initiative will run until May 18, 2025, offering guests the opportunity to explore the world of haute couture craftsmanship through a 90-minute session led by artisans from prestigious houses such as Atelier Montex, Goossens, Lemarié, Lesage, Maison Michel, Massaro, and Paloma.

More than just a workshop, Ornementa embodies the essential philosophy of passing down exceptional savoir-faire. The sector continues to thrive, generating €68 billion in France last year alone, with its future dependent on a delicate balance between innovation and tradition.
